FOR THE STYLIST WHO'S BEEN BEHIND THE CHAIR FOR 15+ YEARS

I've been thinking about us.

The stylists who have been doing this for 15, 20, 25 years or longer.

We know how to do hair. We've built a clientele.

We've adapted through every color trend, every new technique, every social media platform and about 900 different names for a highlight.

And yet somehow, an industry we helped build has started making some of us feel like we're behind.

I have a problem with that. A BIG problem with it.

Because I don't think we need to throw away everything we know and start over.

I think it's time we take everything we've learned over the years, add what we were never taught, and finally understand the WHY behind what our hands already know how to do.

I WANT IN 💥

I THINK WE'RE WORKING TOO HARD

That's really where this started for me.

I went back behind the chair and started putting everything I've been teaching for years into practice on my own clients. It's then I started realizing how much shit we do simply because we've always done it.

Another foil. Another section. Another hour.

More work because somehow we've been conditioned to believe that more work equals a better service or more money.

IT DOESN'T.

I'm now booking services for three hours and finishing them in 2½ or less. I'm not moving my hands faster. I'm not rushing. I'm not cutting corners.

I'm making better decisions. And that's what I want to teach you.

BECAUSE TIME HAS BECOME MY STRONGEST CURRENCY.

Of course I want to make more money. Who doesn't? But I've realized something as I've gotten older. I can always make more money.

TIME? I can't make more of that.

And when I started putting everything I teach back into practice behind my own chair, I realized just how much of it we give away doing work that isn't actually necessary to create the result.

I'm not talking about saving 30 minutes once. I'm talking about getting time back on every highlight.

Sometimes it's 30 minutes. Sometimes it's 45. Sometimes we're cutting application time nearly in half.

Now multiply that across a week. A month. A year.

Yes, that time can become another client, another service and more money without raising your prices.

But maybe you don't want another damn client.

Maybe you want to eat lunch. Leave earlier. Stop running behind. Work one less day someday.

Have something left of yourself when you get home.

That's wealth too.

I don't just want to teach you how to make more money. I want to teach you how to create more time.

And I think that's one of the most valuable things we can give ourselves back.

AND THAT STARTS WITH UNDERSTANDING THE WHY.

YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER PLACEMENT

I teach you how to think about every foil you place, and do it on purpose.

Because the next head you touch won't be the same as the last. I don't want you depending on another pattern or diagram. I want you to understand your decisions well enough to know what this client needs.

01. Stop Following the Pattern

The same placement won't create the same result on every head. Your client's canvas changes — your strategy should, too. Learn to adjust with intention.

02. Understand the Why

Why this foil? Why this section? Why leave that hair out? Learn to understand the decisions behind the result instead of simply repeating the steps.

03. Trust Your Decisions

Know when 60 foils are necessary — and when 35 will do the job beautifully. That's how you stop doing more just because you've always done more.

WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND THE WHY,

YOU STOP SECOND-GUESSING THE HOW.

The overfoiling. The unnecessary hours. The constant second-guessing.That's what we're working to make irrelevant.

THAT'S WHAT I'M BUILDING

For the first time, I'm taking a small group of experienced stylists through 10 weeks of Placement With Purpose with me.

Not watch me once and go home.

We're going to learn it. You're going to use it. Then we're going to come back together and talk about what actually happened when you tried it.

🔥You'll have live personal coaching with me, not just another library of videos.

🎧 You'll also get access to a private Irrelevant Stylist podcast that won't exist anywhere else, where we're going to talk about the stuff beyond the foils:

Confidence. Time. Money. Clients. Pricing. Longevity.

And what we actually want this career we've worked so hard to build to give us now.

And when the ten weeks are over?

We're getting off Zoom. And we're finishing this together, in person, at my salon.
